One of the leading smartphone makers, Apple Inc is organizing an event in the month of September where they are presumed to reveal the next generation of the iconic smartphone according to multiple reports.
The smart phone being referred to as iPhone 5 by observers is expected to be introduced at the event that day and released nine days later. The official name for the device has however not been announced by the makers.
A September release will be slightly ahead of Apple’s established one-iPhone-per-year pace. But the iPhone 4S took longer than usual, its October unveiling coming about 16 months after the iPhone 4.
Strong claims suggest that the ‘iPhone 5’ will feature a 4-inch screen, have a metal backed chassis, feature a shrunken 19-pin dock connector, include NFC technology, and possibly be made of a super-tough amorphous alloy called Liquid Metal.
Also expected to be announced in the event is the iPad mini as well as the new iPod nano.
