The Institution of Engineers of Kenya held their Annual General Meeting on April 27th of April, 2018.This was held at Silver Spring hotel Nairobi and one of the businesses of the AGM was the announcement of the election results for the year 2018-2020. This year election was always on the radar, it was happening at the backdrop of the new constitution of the institution and it was the first time in the history of the Institution that the election was held electronically. It’s worth noting that the previous elections had controversies galore that sow a group of members to seek a judicial redress at the law courts. However, this year’s elections were by and large the fairest according to the incoming chairman Eng. Collins Juma and the team of scrutineers. In his address Collins congratulated both the outgoing and the incoming team; he remarked that the elections should be emulated not only with other professional bodies but the country in general since it was free from tribal undertones.
