SCALING UP ENERGY ACCESS PROJECT CREDIT FINANCING AGREEMENT NO. CKE 1053 01 G DESIGN, SUPPLY & INSTALLATION OF TRANSFORMER DENSIFICATION
ICB NO. KP1/6D.3/PT/AFD/A41
The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received funds from the Agence Francaise de Developpement (the French Development Agency) towards the cost of the Scaling Up Energy Access Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of these funds will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the Design, Supply and Installation of Transformer Densification.
The Kenya Power and Lighting Coriipany Limited now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Design, Supply and Installation of Transformer Densification (“the Works”). Bids must be submitted in HARD COPY format only, regardless of which method was used to access them.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 0900 to 1600 hours, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays.

Bids can be electronically downloaded from the Kenya Power website (www.kplc.co.ke) free of charge. Bidders may also purchase a complete set of bidding documents upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kenya Shillings One Thousand only (KShs. 1,000).
The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the Agence Francaise de Developpement’s Standard Bidding Documents; Procurement of Works.
Bids must be delivered to the office below on or before 13th October 2016 at 1000 hours and must be accompanied by bid securities of the amounts specified in the Bid Data Sheet.
Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 1030 hours on the same day in the offices below:
