Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) is calling on papers ahead of its Engineers International Conference set for May 10-12, 2017 at Intercontinental Hotel, Nairobi. Themed “Engineering Innovations and Strategic Solutions” will be a three day event involving presentation of papers, distinguished keynote speakers from industry, academia and policy makers plus an industrial trip.
The annual platform offers engineers, academicians, industrialists and associated professionals from the Eastern African region and other parts of the world to share experiences, challenges and new knowledge on engineering matters.
The thematic areas which the papers are solicited include Renewable energy, Generation, Transmission and Distribution of electrical power, food processing and value addition to agricultural products, Irrigation and Drainage, Sanitation, Water Resources and Management, ICT, Manufacturing, Environment and Climate Change, Housing, Transportation, Mining, among others.
A statement released by IEK urged prospective authors to submit abstracts by March 1, 2017. The accepted abstracts will be acknowledged by March 15, 2017 for the authors to submit full papers (max 5 pages) with original contribution by April 15 for peer review.
