INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER NOTICE FOR AUDITORIUM AND KITCHEN FINISHES WORK

Kenya Marine and Fisheries Reasearch Institute- KMFRI, is a research body established within the provision of the Science and Technology Ammendment Act (1979) Cap 250 charged with the responsibility to undertake meaningful and development oriented research in Marine, Fresh Water Fisheries and Aquatic Environment.

KMFRI invites bids for the above mentioned works at the just completed Ocean Resource Center Ultra Facility at the Institute Headquarters in Mombasa.

Bidders will be required to submit copies of the following MANDATORY documents:

1.     Proof of registration with Ministry of Public Works

2.     Company dossier with proof of incorporation

3.     List of similar works and their value undertaken within the last three years.

4.     List of ongoing works

5.     List of personnel proposed for execution of the works and their detailed qualification and experience (attach copies of CVs and certificates).

6.     Reports on financial standing of the firm including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and auditors’ reports for the last three years

7.     Litigation history of the company

8.     Written confirmation that the firm has or has not been:

i.      Debarred from participating in public tenders;

ii.     Issued with default notices for any reason(s) in public projects during the last 3-years.

9.     Valid/ current tax compliant certificate issued by KRA.

10.   Tender bid security equivalent to 2% of bidder’s TENDER SUM issued by a reputable Bank or an Insurance firm that is registered with the Public Procurement and Oversight Authority, PPOA.

Interested bidders MUST additionally submit proof of having visited and inspected the site in form of a certificate that will be issued by the client through the undersigned contact officer.

The tender documents will be issued at the KMFRI Office, Mkomani, Mombasa upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 3,000 payable in form of a banker’s cheque or cash payable to KMFRI cashier at the Headquarters office in Mombasa during normal working hours.

Tender documents in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked TENDER FOR AUDITORIUM AND KITCHEN FINISHES WORKS FOR THE OCEAN RESOURCE CENTER ULTRA FACILITY IN MOMBASA MUST be sent to:

Or be deposited into the KMFRI’s Tender Box so as to reach him on or before Tuesday 12th November 2013 at 12.00 Noon. Tender opening will take place immediately thereafter in the Conference Hall in the Presence of Tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend.

Prices quoted must remain valid for a minimum period of one hundred and twenty (120) days from the opening date of the tender.
KMFRI reserves the right to reject any or all applications withouts incurring any liabilities thereof.
