TENDER NOTICE
CONSTRUCTION OF MISCELLANEOUS BRIDGES AND CULVERTS FOR KIBOS, CHEMELIL, MIWANI AND NANDI SUGAR GROWING ZONES
 
In its contribution towards vision 2030 economic and social pillars, the sugar Development Fund (SDF) plans to develop infrastructure projects that have an industry wide effect and benefits. The funding is being done through a grant to Nandi Sugar belt Cooperative Union and Kisumu Sugar Belt Cooperative Union. To this end, Kenya Sugar Board is implementing a project for construction of miscellaneous bridges and culverts within Kibos, Chemelil, Miwani and Nandi Sugar growing zones.
 
Pursuant to the above , teachers are invites from eligible contractors for the construction of 36 bridges / culverts. The list of the bridges /culverts to be constructed can be obtained from Kenya SUGAR Board office in Kisumu, Kakakmega and Nairobi and on the KSB website as well.
 
QUALIFICATIONS FOR TENDERING
Mandatory Requirements
The following must be submitted:
• Certified copy of certificate of incorporation
• certified copy of current Tax Registration with Ministry of Roads
• Certified copy of vat Registration Certificate
• Certified copy of Business Permit
Other Requirements
Contractors must also submit sufficient information in the following areas to enable the client evaluate their suitability:
• Relevant experience in bridges construction
• Equipment holding
• Professional and Technical personnel
• Turnover and liquid assets supported by Audited accounts for the last two years
• Current work load
• Litigation history
• Duly filled confidential Business Questionnaire
Mandatory pre-tender site visit shall be held from 24th to 28th September 2012 starting 9. 00 am for KERRA (Kenya Roads Authority) offices in Kisumu on Kisumu – Busia Road near the Kisumu Airport.
 
Interested and eligible contractors may obtain further information and inspect tender documents from the KSB Kisumu regional office Tel: 057 2020749/50, 0733202001, 0723248079 on 5th floor Al, Imran Plaza, Oginga Odinga Street during normal office working hours.
 
A completed set of tender documents may be obtained by interested candidates upon payment of a non refundable fee of KSHS. 4, 000 (Four thousand Kenya shilling only). Duly completed tender documents tender documents in plain sealed envelope marked with the respective tender number and project name should be deposited in the Tender Box at the KSB Kisumu office or be posted to:

So as to reach us on or before 5/10/2012 at 10. 00 am. Tenders will be opened thereafter at 10.30 am at KSB Kisumu offices in the presence of Tenderers/representatives who choose to attend.
