TENDER NOTICE
TENDER NO.MEP/RFP/03/2013-2014
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR PROPOSED UPGRADING OF PARKING, ACCESS ROAD, STORM AND FOUL WATER DRAINAGE
The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum seeks to carry out upgrading of parking, access road, storm and foul water drainage and intends to engage the services of the consortium of firms to provide consultancy services for the proposed project.
The consortium should have a wide range experience in this particular field whose services should comprise the following:
1. Architectural (Lead Consultant)
2. Quantity Surveying
3. Electrical & Mechanical Engineering
4. Civil & Structural Engineering
5. Environmental Design
6. Land Surveying
A complete set of tender documents with detailed specifications may be obtained by interested candidates upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs.1,000/= in Cash or Bankers Cheque payable to Principal Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Petroleum.
Eligible firms with relevant experience, both the lead and the associated firms are invited to submit their proposals for the provision of consultancy services which include, but not limited to the following.
1. Company profiles of the firms which should include the following:
a) Brief background of the company including ownership details
b) Registration particulars (registrar of companies, relevant regulatory boards/professional associations)
c) CVs of staff of the firm
d) List of previous works undertaken
e) Equipment/motor vehicles owned by the firm
2. Proof of at least five (5) assignments of similar nature by the firms together with their values, clients contacts details, commissioning letters and completion certificates.
3. List/CVs of proposed personnel for the assignment of the firms together with registration certificates with the relevant Regulatory Boards/Professional Associations.
4. Financial Status of the firms which should include audited accounts for the last two years and introduction letters from the firm’s bankers and access credit.
5. Valid Tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority.
6. Litigation History if any.
The Proposals that do not include any of the required information above and from consultants who have been TERMINATED or issued with DEFAULT NOTICES in a Government contract shall be automatically disqualified.

Should be deposited in the tender box situated on 24th floor Nyayo House along Kenyatta Avenue, Ministry of Energy and Petroleum Headquarters, Nairobi, so as to be received on or before 4th October, 2013 at 10.00 a.m.
The submitted Proposals will be opened immediately after the closing time and the applicants or their official representatives who wish to attend the opening are invited.
