TENDER NOTICE

PROPOSED OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH INSTITUTE OFFICE COMPLEX

TENDER NO, MLSS&S/05/2013-2014

The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Services through the Directorate of Health and Safety Services is inviting eligible and qualified Building and Civil Engineering Contractors to bid for the above works.

Contractors willing to bid for the works MUST be registered with Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development and fulfill the conditions and requirements as provided below:-

1. Must be in a registration Category “D” and above or NCA equivalent

2. Must pay non-refundable fee of Kenya Shillings one thousand (ksh. 1,000.00) only

3. Proof of works undertaken in the last three (3) years which must be at least 70% complete

4. Attach a valid tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority

5. A valid Bid Bond of 2% of the tender sum in the form of bankers guarantees from a reputable Bank or approved Insurance Firm registered with the Public Procurement Oversight Authority.

A complete set of tender document may be obtained by interested candidates upon payment of nonrefundable fee of ksh. 1000.00 in cash or bankers cheque payable to the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Labour Social Security and Services at the cash office NSSF Building, 2nd Floor Block ‘A’.

Duly completed tender documents, in plain sealed envelopes with the TENDER NUMBER AND TITLE OF THE WORKS clearly indicated on the envelope should be addressed to:-

Or deposited in the tender box located on 14th Floor NSSF Building, Block ‘A’ Eastern Wing not later than Friday, 27th November, 2013 at 12.00 noon.

Soon after the stated closing time, submitted tenders will be opened in the presence of tenderers or their representatives willing to attend at the NSSF Building 14th Floor Block ‘A’ Conference Room. Late bids will not be accepted.

The Government reserves the right to accept or reject any tender in part or in full without giving any reasons thereof.
