REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI NO: MCG/013/2013-2014 CONSULTANCY ON ENERGY SOURCE AUDIT

The Murang’a County Government intends to engage a firm to provide consultancy services on energy sources audit.

BACKGROUND

The Murang’a county Government intends to have a consultant to provide world class standard on energy source audit and exploitation.

OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The main objective of the assignment is to have an audit of the viable energy sources in the County and advise on exploitation.

SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The scope of the assignment includes but not limited to;

i.       A study on solar, wind, bio and other sources.

ii.      Cost design and cost proposal for various power sources.

iii.     Carry out Environmental impact Assessment (EIA).

iv.     Demonstrate expected power outputs quality and value.

v.      Interfacing of various power sources.

vi.     Ensure public participation when undertaking this exercise as enshrined in the constitution.

vii.     Consultation with the Employer at all times during the exercise.

viii.    Propose the duration which you require to execute assignment.

ix.     Any other proposal related to the assignment.

The Murang’a County Government now invites interested firms or persons to express their interest in the above assignment. The interested firms are required to demonstrate that they have:-

1)      A valid certificate of registration.

2)      Current Tax Compliance Certificate.

3)      Expertise in Energy generation.

4)      Prior Experience in carrying out projects of same scope.

5)     Lead consultant to have worked in similar projects for over  10 yrs.

Shortlisted firms will be issued with a Request for Proposal (RFP) document with Terms of Reference. Complete expression of interest documents in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked on top with the name of this consulting should be addressed to: –
