Propak East Africa took place from March 17th to March 19th at Kenya International Conference Centre (KICC) and was the biggest event in the packaging, printing and plastics industry in East Africa. The event had over 90 exhibitors from 19 different countries including some from Africa, Europe, Asia, Middle East and North America.
The event was a great opportunity for visitors, exhibitors and buyers to mingle, network, share business ideas and introduce new products to the market. In addition, the showcase brought together packaging, food processing, labeling industries as well as a couple others.
Some of the exhibitors that participated included Krones, a German company that offers technical solutions for the water, juice, soft-drinks, beer and dairy-product industries; Luxembourg’s Flint Group one of the largest suppliers to the printing and packaging industry worldwide; Saurabh Flexipack Systems Ltd an Indian engineering company that manufactures packaging machines.
“We are incredibly excited about the strength and position of the show. Not only has the exhibition grown on all levels, but some of the new exhibitors that we have attracted this year are global market leaders,” said Alexander Angus, the Exhibition Director.
While the showcase was a great opportunity for exhibitors, on the 19th March, the Propak East Africa Conference took place for those seeking to understand the role of the plastic industry in the African market.
