SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF WATER PIPES FOR EXTENSION. OF NAIROBI CITY WATER DISTRIBUTION

The Athi Water Services Board has received funds from the Agence Francaise de Developement (the French Development Agency) towards the cost of Improvement of water distribution “network within Nairobi City. It is intended that part of the proceeds of these funds will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for supply and delivery of water pipes for Extension of Nairobi city water distribution

The Athi Water Services Board now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of:

Supply and delivery of 80Km DN63-250mm HOPE water pipes

Supply and delivery of 2.5Km DN80-150mm Gl water pipes (“the Goods”).

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of Chief Executive Officer, Athi Water Services Board, 3,d floor, Africa Re Centre Upper Hill, Nairobi.

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KShs. 1000 (Kenya Shillings One Thousand Only)

The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the Agence Francaise de Developement’s Standard Bidding Documents: Procurement of Goods.

Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 12.00pm East African Time on 17th March, 2017 and must be accompanied by a bid security (Unconditional Bank Guarantee) of KShs. 2,000,000 (Kenya Shillings Two Million Only)

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 12.05pm East African Time on 17,h March, 2017 at the offices of:

Qualification criteria are as follows:

Certified copy of certificate of Incorporation and a valid Tax Compliance Certificate

Financial capability- Demonstrated average Turnover of KShs. 180 Million within the last 3 years

Experience and Technical Capacity – the bidder must have supplied and delivered water pipes DN 100mm or more, not less than 40km in one contract within the last three years.

The bidder shall provide documentary evidence that Goods offered meet the requirements stipulated in the specifications.
