REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Construction of Horizontal Infrastructure at Entebbe Support Base / Regional Service Centre, Entebbe, Uganda.

1. The UNPD Regional Procurement Office (RP0), on behalf of the Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE) hereby invites qualified contractors from all countries to submit their Expressions of Interest to provide the necessary professional services to construct and commission the Horizontal Infrastructure at Entebbe Support Base / Regional Service Centre, Entebbe.

The scope of work involves construction of:

(a) New Power Station building including the MV distribution panels

(b) Medium Voltage and Low Voltage distribution system from the power station up to each one of the facilities and utilities

(d) Water storage tanks realized with concrete walls, partially buried (3m underground, 3m above ground).

(e) Water distribution network from the Water tank linking all facilities around the Base.

(f) Sewage water collection system from the different facilities around the Base up to a main sewer line

(g) New Road network all around the Base,

(h) Superficial storm drainage system with concrete channels all along the new road network.

(i) Two Main drainage channels, for the collection of the storm drainage water.

(j) CCTV system for the monitoring of the external spaces around the Base

(k) External Street lighting around the Base

(I) CITS distributions system composed of a network of Fiber optic cables of different size and characteristics starting from the base DATA center to all the facilities around the Base

2. Qualified companies invited to tender documents including Drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), Statement of Works (SOW), Evaluation Criteria, all necessary technical specifications and other documents to enable the interested vendors to fully understand the service to be provided. 3. All workmanship, materials, tests and performance in connection with the reinforced concrete work are to be in conformity with the British Standard Code of Practice (BS 8110 incorporating the latest amendments thereto), Euro code 8 or the equivalent for “the Structural use of Reinforced Concrete in Buildings”and in accordance with local by-laws.
