TENDER NOTICE
PRE-QUALIFICATION OF DRILLING EQUIPMENT INSPECTION SERVICE PROVIDERS
 
GDC/HQS/PS016/2012:2014
 
1.0 Introduction
Geothermal Development Company (GDC0 has acquired 4 x 2000 HP DCR Rigs complete with Cementing Equipment, Air compressors, Fishing tools and Directional drilling equipment. The rigs currently drilling in Menengai Geothermal Prospect, Nakuru, Kenya.
 
 
2.0 Scope of Works
The objective of this exercise is to shortlist and pre-qualify firs for various testing and monitoring services Of drilling equipment for financial year 2012 /12 & 2013/14 as per the schedules. Interested firms are invited to submit their proposals and schedules they intend to participate in.
 
Schedule     Description
A    drill string / Tubular inspection

B    positive materials identification of drilling materials

C    condition survey of Rig Equipment

D    Thermography survey of mechanical equipment

E    lifting and hoisting system inspection

F    Calibration of monitoring and measuring devices
 
3.0 An electronic copy of the prequalification document can be obtained upon payment of a non refundable fee of Kshs. 3, 000 (three thousand shillings only) for each category in cash or bankers cheque to our cash office at GDC Riverside Office, between 9. 00 am and 4. 00pm during normal working days.
Only pre-qualified firms under this process will be invited to submit their technical an financial proposals.

The response will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at GDC Boardroom.
