LOT A: (i) SULTAN HAMUD – MTITO ANDEI ROAD (A109), 130 KM AND (ii) EMALI -OLOITOKITOK ROAD (C102), 100KM
LOT B: (i) MERU • MAUA ROAD (C91), 67KM AND (ii) THUCI-NKUBU ROAD (B6), 51 KM
LOT C: (i) MARUA -NANYUKI ROAD (A2), 58KM AND (ii) NYERI-NYAHURURU ROAD (B5), 113KM
REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
TENDER NO. KEN HA/884/2014
This request for expressions of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the ‘DO Market Publication of 24″‘ September 2010.
The Government of Kenya has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) to meet the cost of the Kenya Transport Sector Support Project (KTSSP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the credit towards eligible payments under three separate contracts for Consultancy Services for Road Reserve Survey and Title Survey for Acquired Properties. Each contract will address one of the following lots:
LOT 1: (i) Sultan Hamud- Mtito Andei Road (A109) and (ii) Emali-Oloitokitok Road (C102)
LOT B: (i) Meru – Maua Road (C91) and (ii) Thuci-Nkubu Road (B6)
LOT C: (i) Marua-Nanyuki Road (A2) and (ii) Nyeri-Nyahururu Road (B5)
The Services relate to road reserve survey, title rectification and physical demarcation of boundaries and will entail but not be limited to the following.
To acquire the relevant historical information
To carry out the necessary investigations and survey computations
To analyze design drawings, as-built drawings, land acquisition drawings, gazette notices, and survey plans, and delineate the actual road reserve
To set out the road reserve edges and reference them
To construct survey monuments well referenced to mark the road boundary extent
To Subdivide each parcel listed in the of Ministry of Works Land Acquisition drawings and not yet subdivided
To prepare deed plans for the acquired road reserve and remainder deed plans, or mutation forms for affected parcels of land
To fix boundary beacons on their correct ground positions
To fix road reserve marker posts at appropriate positions and spacing
To provide the survey beacons description in hard and soft copy
To provide a properly geo-referenced drawing in hard and soft (CAD) format of the entire road reserve showing the abutting parcels of land and the location of the road reserve reference markers
The Kenya National Highways Authority, a State Corporation under the Ministry of Roads established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007, which shall be the Implementing Agency, now invites eligible firms, joint ventures and associations of firms to indicate their interest in providing these services. Applicants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff etc).
A consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) procedures set out in the World Banks Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants Under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers of January 2011.
Firms may associate either as joint venture partners, consultant and sub-consultants, or association of firms to enhance their qualifications as a consulting entity.
