INVITATION TO BID FOR ROAD MAINTENANCE WORKS IN VARIOUS KWS NATIONAL PARKS AND RESERVES
TENDER NO. KWS/OT/R & F/10-33/2012-2013
Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) hereby invites bids from Ministry for Roads registered road contractors Class G and above for the maintenance of roads in KWS parks and reserves. The schedule of the tenders can be viewed from our website: www.kws.go.ke
 
 
Tender documents can be obtained from the Procurement Office, KWS Headquarters, Langata Road, Tel: 0726610508/9 0735663421, Email: hps@kws.go.ke, during the normal working hours, upon payment of a non refundable fee of Kshs. 5, 000. 00 for each set of Tender Documents.
 
 
Each tender MUST be accompanied with the following documents:-
 
a) Bid security of Kshs. 150, 000. 00 in the form of a bank or insurance guarantee issued in    a freely convertible currency.
b) Copy of valid VAT certificate
c) Copy of valid Tax compliance certificate
d) Copy of certificate of company incorporation/Business registration certificate
e) Copy of Registration as Roads contractor with Ministry of Roads
 
 
Bidders having ongoing works with KWS that have not been substantially completed will not be considered for award.
 
 
Bidders can only submit a maximum of two bids, which must be in the same Park or Reserve. Bidders submitting bids in different parks will result in the disqualification of all Bids in which the bidder is participating.
 
 
Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with the tender Number and name of the Road (as appropriate) be deposited in the Tender Box located on Ground floor of Simba Court, KWS HQS Langata Road and be addressed to: –

Nairobi so as to be received on or before 12. 00 noon on 11th October 2012.
Opening of the Tenders will take place immediately thereafter in the KWS Vet Conference Room in the presence of bidders representatives who wish to attend.
