INVITATION TO TENDER

AIC Kijabe Hospital is a faith based non-profit hospital under Africa Inland Church, The hospital was founded in 1915 for the sole mission of glorifying God through provision of compassionate Health Care, training and Spiritual Ministry in Jesus Christ. Our hallmarks in providing the health care services are excellence, affordability and compassion.

The Hospital invites Tenders from eligible and registered Contractors to tender the following project:
ITEM NO.: 1.
TENDER TYPE: Construction (design, supply, construct & commission) of a 600 m3 Steel Water Storage Tank including foundation works.)
NON REFUNDABLE FEES: Ksh. 5,000

The detailed scope of works for the above project is provided in the tender documents.

Interested contractors registered by the Ministry of Works (MOW), proof of registration required, may obtain Tender documents from the Supply Chain Manager’s Office, upon payment of a nonrefundable tender collection fee of Ksh. 5,000 evidenced by an official receipt. Payments shall be made in banker’s cheque or cash payable to AIC Kijabe Hospital, at the cash office between 08.30am and 03.30pm on week days. Bidders should note that the documents and information listed below are the minimum requirement and must be accompanied by supporting documents, failure to which will render the Bid liable to automatic disqualification.

1)Proof of current and past works of similar magnitude undertaken in the last five years. Copies of Award letters and Practical completion certificates to be attached.

2)Bid Bond of amounts of 2% of the tender sum which must be in form of a Bank guarantee only from a reputable Bank registered in Kenya and be valid for 90 days from the tender opening date.

3) Valid Tax Compliance certificate, VAT and PIN certificates.

In addition, Bids from the following Bidders shall be treated as non-responsive and will lead to automatic disqualification:

i)A Bid from a Bidder whose on-going project (s) is/ are behind schedule, and without any approved extension of time.

ii)A Bid from a Bidder who has been served with a default notice from current project (s) or terminated previously

All Tender Documents in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked the tender number and bearing no indication of the bidder should be addressed to:

And be deposited in the Tender Box located outside the Supply Chain Manager’s office or sent by courier or registered mail using the above address to be received on or before 18th November 2013. Any Bid received after 12.00 pm will be returned unopened. The Hospital reserves the right to reject any tender without giving reasons and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

NB: There will be a mandatory site visit for all prospective tenderers on 8th November 2013 at Kijabe Hospital grounds
