TENDER NOTICE
REHABILITATION OF MUNYUNI DAM
TENDER NO: MKS/COU/02/2012-2013

The District Water Officer, Machakos District intends to undertake rehabilitation of Munyuni dam in Machakos County. The District Commissioner, Machakos District hereby invites bids from eligible contractors registered with the Ministry of Water & Irrigation Class C for dam construction. The eligibility requirements include the following:

1. Bid security of 2% of the tender sum form a reputable financial institution inform of a bankers cheque or bid bond.
2. Proof of work of similar magnitude undertaken in the last 5 years
3. Certified copies of Tax compliance certificate, VAT and PIN certificates
4. Availability of appropriate and relevant skills among staff
5. Certified audited accounts for the last 3 years
6. Proof of legal existence
7. Provide details of litigation history to Government contracts
 
Tender documents with detailed specification can be obtained form the Head, Supply Chain Management Services. Machakos County upon payment of non refundable KSHS. 4, 000 (four thousand) payable in cash or bankers cheque during normal working hours.

There will be a pre-tender site visit on 24th September 2012 and the Tenderers are required to assemble at the office of the District Water Officer at 9. 00 am local time.

Completed tender documents in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with the tender name and tender number should be deposited in the Tender Box situated at the District Commissioner’s office to reach him on or before 2nd October 2012 at 12. 00 noon.

Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend.
