Unilever Tea Kenya Limited Tender: Prequalification of Engineering Contract services, Closing Date 09/11/2012  

TENDER
PREQUALIFICATION FOR PROVISION OF ENGINEERING SERVICES
Applications are invited from interested firms for pre-qualification to offer engineering contract services to Uniliver Tea Kenya Limited & Uniliver Kenya Limited. Those to be considered must meet the following criteria.
 
Provide the certified copy of certificate of incorporation, VAT and PIN certificate
Should have done jobs with corporate industrial clients within the last three year
Be able to prove compliance with minimum statutory health and safety standards
Electrical contractors should be registered with the ERC and must be holders of class of A BC
Contractors 9Attach copy of certificate) from Energy Regulatory Commission
 
 
Building contractors should be registered with the Ministry of public works
List of qualified professionals and technical personnel including details of their experience relevant to the proposed works.
 
Details of financial position – attach copy of 3 years audited accounts.
Litigation History – please indicated if none
Existing contractors also need to apply
 
Contractors should indicate on the reply envelope their discipline of interest form the table:

Contractors should also indicate the job category under the following list:
 
Category A jobs of Kshs. 5, 000. 00 and above
Category B Jobs of Kshs. 1, 000, 000 – 5, 000, 000
Category C Jobs of Kshs. 500, 000 – 1, 000, 00
Category D Jobs of Kshs. 500, 000 and below
 

Standard pre-qualification forms are available from Finance Department Unilever Tea Kenya Limited Cash office on Kericho – Nakuru (between 8. 00 am – 3. 00pm Monday to Friday0 or Unilever Kenya Limited office on Commercial Street, Industrial Area, Nairobi (Between 2. 00 – 3. 00pm Monday to Friday) at a nonrefundable fee of Kshs. 1, 000. Applicants who are finally pre-qualified will b required to pay a fee of Kshs. 3, 000 towards the purchase of the specialized bidding documents.
 

Completed pre-qualification documents should be submitted in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked “Prequalification of Engineering Contract services” and supported by at least two references, to the address below:
