Interested eligible bidders who are registered with the ministry of Public Works in the indicated categories and above may obtain further information and inspect the tender documents for the Principals office, Chepkoilel University College. Alog Eldoret – Ziwa road, 9km form Edoret town, during normal working hours.
 
A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested bidders of Public Works upon payment of non refundable fee of Kshs. 5, 000. 00 in cash or Bankers cheque payable to The Principal Chepkoilel University College. All Tenders must be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a banker’s cheque from the reputable bank or approved insurance company and must be delivered with tender documents.
 
Interested bidders should note that only those who meet the criteria indicated below as a minimum supported by relevant documents at submission will be considered for further evaluation.
1) Proof of works of similar magnitude and complexity under taken in the last five years
2) The bid bond must be in form of bank guarantee form a reputable bank or approved insurance    company
3) Adequate equipment an key personnel for the specific types of works
4) Sound financial standing and adequate access to bank credit line.
5) Litigation history of the company (both court and arbitration cases)
6) Confidential business questionnaire
7) Valid tax compliance certificate
 
Further tenders form the following tenderers shall be treated as non responsive and therefore subject to automatic disqualification.
a) A tender from a tenderer with ongoing projects is/are behind schedule and without any approve extension of time.
b) A tender from a tenderer who has been served with a default notice on going projects or    terminated in a government contract.
c) A tenderer form a tender with on going projects exceeding four (4) in number, regardless of the total value of the outstanding works.
d) A tender from a tender whose tender sum is plus or minus 10% of the official estimate
 
A pretender sit visit will be conducted on 29th September 2012 at 9. 00 am on the site. Prices quoted should be inclusive of all taxes, must be in Kenya shillings and shall remain valid of (1200 days from the closing date of tender.
 
Completed Tender documents accompanied with receipt for the fee paid in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with the S/No. and Tender Description as described in the Tender documents should be addressed to:

Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the candidates or their representatives who choose to attend at Cheplkoilel University College Board room.
 
The bid security which must be from an established bank, or approved insurance company and shall be valid for one hundred and fifty (150) days from tender opening date.
 
Chepkoilel University College reserves the right to reject any tender without giving reasons for the rejection and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
